Carine is registered language practitioner, translator and lecturer. She is a content writer and editor at HB Trained. She is currently working as a Senior Lecturer at Two Oceans Graduate Institute. She is a freelance writer, translator and editor.

- Lecturer at Stellenbosch University.
- High School teacher .
- Author of various textbooks for Afrikaans, such as the Platinum Series for Afrikaans gr. 7-12, Slimkoppe series and X-Kit Presteer for grades 8 and 9.
